What do I say?

Welcome to the Carwile Family blog. Not being in my twenties anymore or rather trendy, I am not sure what my blog will consist of. My life consist of my two wonderful daughters, Katie and Addie, my husband Eric and our tabby cat, Duncan (a girl cat named after Tim Duncan) and lots of activities that keep us busy!

This is the first summer since our oldest started kindergarten. We are loving the sleeping in vs getting up early to eat breakfast, get dressed and head out the door to school. The beach has called us three times already this summer. Two trips were to Swansboro where my dad, stepmom Evon and sister Ashley live. One trip was to honor Ash as she has graduated from high school. My niece, Brandie, also graduated from Asheboro a couple weeks ago. Asheboro's ceremony gets the "how hot can it get" award. The ceremony was at noon on a 99 degree day in the football stadium. Some traditions can be broken!

Katie and Addie are very excited as daddy starts his new job at Krispy Kreme - still in the world of finance and not making the doughnuts (just the dough). I think they are expecting doughnuts everyday but they will be disappointed. I believe some will be purchased for our trip to Swansboro for the 4th - Independence holiday. My dad could eat a dozen himself.

The pool has called us almost every day. Addie is in swim lessons right now but she is already like a little mullet. Katie is practicing with the Elks swim team and is swimming laps without holding onto the wall. Her face however will not go in the water. She is not competing in any meets this summer so she had not been too aggressive.

Now it is time for me to start cleaning the house and quit goofing around. Eric and I are hoping to put our house on the market. Not looking forward to the process but praying we find a great house in our price range in the area we want.
